So Camtasia and Hypercam are good, but you have to register them if you want all of the features! And here at The Slickest Blog Ever, we don't like paying for things. Don't worry!

I haven't left! It's just been very time-consuming, managing the forum and all. Especially lately. Our server, server 50, have been having problems. First, it went offline for a brief time. It was thought to be impossible. But this tip will make me use bikes a lot more than I do now.

You probably don't. But you should. Nomee is a free service that combines over 100 social networks and compresses them into one. Here's how it works:

You download the client.
You sign up.
You start following people.
Whenever they update ANYTHING from their social networks, whether it be Myspace, Friendster, Facebook, Twitter, ANYTHING, you get a notice in the bottom right corner of your screen.
You open the client.
You click on the person that made the update.
You click on the network they updated.
It takes you directly to their profile with updated information.

Whatpulse?

Whatpulse? I have been using this really awesome software since yesterday, when I saw Chris Pirillo's reccomendation for it. This software logs the number of keystrokes you have (not the specific keys), your mouse clicks, and distance travelled by your mouse...in miles! Then, when you choose to, you can "Pulse", or send all that data to the server. You can make teams, sort by country, and more! You can even make it automatically pulse so you don't have to press CTRL+ALT+P every time you want to pulse. But I just have it set to pulse only when I shut down the computer (which is like, never!) and when I press CTRL+ALT+P. To get Whatpulse, head on over to http://www.whatpulse.org/ and join my team. My team name is Team Slick and the password for joining is Slickness. By the end of this post, I will have 1433 keystrokes, 173 mouse clicks, and 0.02 miles travelled since my last pulse.

Those are all of the features that I can think of that the iPod doesn't have. Songs on the Zune Marketplace are 79, the equivalent of about 99¢ USD. The smallest block of points you can get is 400, which is $5.00 USD. You can buy entire albums for 800 on up, depending on how many songs are on it and how long they are. I've actually seen some songs for 99, because they were so long.

Finished another song!

I just added another song to my album. I am planning on having about ten tracks on it. And by the way, when I said "without further ado, track three", that's not the entire track. It's only what I have done so far. So I now have two tracks done and I'm still working on two other tracks. As you can see, I also updated the blog's header and am in the process of adding my Zune card and Gamercard to the sidebar.

Followers, I need your help!

My best friend in the entire world, for an unknown reason, has blocked me on Youtube. I need to at least ask him why, but I can't, seeing as I'm...blocked. I can't comment on his videos, rate his videos, send him messages, comment on his channel, or even make video responses to his videos. Together, we need to take action. Happy Independance Day!

I just got home from watching a fireworks display. It was pretty fun. So with soaked pants and heavy eyes, I shall throw in the towel for tonight. My pants are soaked because they had one of those inflatable slide things that had hoses attached to them, making them spray water. I went on it about four times.

Also, yesterday I picked up a copy of Spore Galactic Adventures. It's pretty fun. If you get a chance, look up "Fish Delivery". That's the name of the adventure I made. Don't worry, it's fun. I tried. But mostly, I just like clicking "Random Adventure". Adventure has always been my kinda thing.

Finished Disk 3 (and more gadgets)

Lost (WoC Update!)

I have always been...late in the game...you could say. So my family just got into the TV series Lost a few weeks ago, and we are already on disk 3 of season 3. No giving things away! But I just thought this was blog-worthy.

On a different note, I have been playing War of Conquest a lot lately. If you are late to the game like I am, War of Conquest is a game, somewhat similar to Risk. It's not set on Earth though. You make your own nation (or join someone else's nation), which starts out as a stone-age culture and go on to be a very developed and civilized one. Even though the game is free, you can earn real money by capturing an in-game item called an orb.

Now, while the game itself is free, you do have the option to buy "credits" for money. Credits allow you to buy some extra stuff, but aren't required to have fun in the game. When someone buys credits, most of the money spent is distributed to all the orbs in the game, which can then be claimed by whoever has control over that specific orb or orbs.

There are four types of orbs, the most common being an "Orb of Noontide". These orbs get the least amount of winnings, but it balances out because they are so common. The next most common is an "Orb of Shadow". The second rarest are the "Orbs of Destiny", and the rarest of them all is the most well paying one in the entire game. There is only one in the entire world.

It is the "Orb of Fire". It's currently controlled by a country called "Invisible_Souls". But don't plan on capturing it from them any time soon. Each square surrounding it has 50 forts, and there is only one entrance to the secluded island on where it resides. They can have it.

Another thing: I can't stand it when people are ignorant about computers! One of my pet peeves is where people confuse "memory" with HARD DRIVE SPACE! It's like, "Oh, what's usin' up all the MEMORY??" GAH!! If you are one of those people, that's not good. Leave my blog now. No I'm just kidding. But for the record, memory refers to RAM, or Random Access Memory. RAM is basically what makes a computer able to process everything. The more RAM you have, the faster your computer will go. Hard drive space is how much space is left on your hard drive to store whatever you need to store on it.

And another thing: DO NOT measure how fast a computer can process things by how fast it boots. It's not right. You are blaming the computer for something you probably did yourself: PUT A VIRUS ON IT. If your computer boots up so slow that you can press the power button and go watch a football game and it still hasn't finished booting, it's got a virus on it. No computer is naturally that slow.

Another way you might be able to tell is the sound your computer makes. That's right, pay attention to it. If it sounds like it is running louder than normal, ask yourself these questions:
Is what I'm currently running CPU intensive?
If not, what kind of anti-virus software can I get?
If so, it shouldn't be a problem.
Best anti-virus software out there, hands-down: Avast!
Best FREE anti-virus software, hands-down: AVG
Some other good free ones:

Spybot: Search and Destroy

Some good PC acronyms to remember (since people ask me about these all the time!):
PC=Personal Copmuter
RAM=Random Access Memory
CPU=Computer Processing Unit
GPU=Graphics Processing Unit
ISP=Internet Service Provider
HDD=I personally don't exactly know what this stands for, but my best guess is either Hard Disk Drive or High Definition Drive. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
SSD=Solid State Drive

And one more thing. IT'S USERNAME, NOT SCREEN NAME. SCREEN NAME IS OBSOLETE. THAT IS WHAT AOL USED BACK WHEN THEY WERE THE ONLY ADVERTISED ISP. SCREEN NAMES NO LONGER EXIST. THEY ARE CALLED USERNAMES NOW.
